TOP 6 CHRISTMAS DAYS OUT IN LONDON - FOR ADULTS & KIDS

I have searched around and listed below what I have found to be the most enjoyable places to go this Christmas. This can be for adults or kids but is only UK London based (2016). I have narrowed it down to the information that I think you would want to know straight away but for more on each event see the link above each photo to go directly to the websites.

1. WINTER WONDERLAND

ABOUT: UK's largest open air ice rink, this event includes Funfair rides, Ice Skating, Show performances, The Magical Ice Kingdom, Food and Drink.

WHERE? Hyde Park,
                   London,

WHEN? Now until 2nd Jan 2017, every day (except xmas day)
               10am - 10pm

2. HOGWARTS IN THE SNOW

ABOUT: Step onto authentic sets and relive the magic through the eyes of the film makers. After looking at this, I really want to go...it looks amazing! You can see a full description of whats included in the event if you click here.

WHERE? Studio Tour Drive,
                  Leavesden,
                  WD25 7LR (20 miles North West of London)

WHEN? Now, Until 29th Jan 2017

3. WINTER FESTIVAL AT SOUTHBANK CENTRE

ABOUT: A wintery event complete with a giant Nordic Christmas tree, Scandinavian decorations, a christmas market and a host of different events going on. Of course there will be food and drink there too. This event to me looks really good and I can't believe i've not been to any of these places that i'm sharing...I need to get these on my bucket list :-D

4. CHRISTMAS IN LEICESTER SQUARE

ABOUT: Christmas shopping, shows and family activities. It also has a Christmas market, food and drink.

WHERE? Leicester Square,
                  London,

WHEN? Now, until 8th Jan 2017

PRICE? FREE but costs for certain activities. 



4. CHRISTMAS AT KEW

ABOUT: Take a walk through a glittering wonderland lit up with more than 60,000 lights. This one looks really amazing, a place I defiantly want to visit. They also have choirs and you can sing a long to classic christmas songs in the karaoke jukebox.

WHERE? Royal Botanical Gardens,
                 Kew,
                 Richmond,
                 TW9 3AB

WHEN? Now, until 2nd Jan 2017. (Except dates, 5, 6, 12, 13, 24 and 25 of Dec)
               5-10pm (Timed entrance between 5 and 8:15pm)

5. CHRISTMAS PAST IN THE GEFFRYE MUSEAM

ABOUT: This one is a little bit different and looks really interesting. You get to visit a museum to see how the Christmas season was celebrated in different era's. Discovering the meaning of christmas traditions such as christmas lunch, sending cards, having stockings and tree decorating.

WHEN? Now, until the 8th of Jan 2017

6. NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM ICE RINK

ABOUT: Skate around the Christmas tree at the open air ice rink at the natural history museum.
