Get Perfect Skin for Summer | Scrub Love

Instagram: @CarlyCx
Get Summer Skin ready! One thing that I love to do and really see benefits from is exfoliating.
As the summer months start to arrive I do like to exfoliate more. I don't do it every day, maybe once a week, depends when my body needs it and when I remember :-D

I recently got sent this particular product from Scrub Love.
First of all, how pretty is the packaging :-) This one is called Original Lovin, they also have Mint Temptation and Coconut Affair. You can see the link at the bottom of this post to see more on their website if your interested. All you do for this is grab a handful of scrub and rub it into your skin in small circles, if you have time to leave it on longer then it will leave your skin feeling even extra soft and glowy. On the packet they recommend to use this three to four times a week.

This is made with Roasted Organic Robusta coffee which is great at getting rid of dry, flakey skin.
It also has Sweet Almond oil to give you that silky smooth feel and Orange oil which detoxifies and nourishes the skin. It smells SO good it reminded me of chocolate oranges, even tho theres no chocolate in this so i don't know why I thought of that?...obviously chocolate on the mind!
Then the Vitamin E & C in this really helps to energise and brighten the skin.

This is 100% natural and organic and one reason I love it so much. I love finding more beauty products like this.

Get Glowing Skin with Ooharr Face Masks | Pamper Yourself

Ooharr beauty has an amazing selection of face masks and I was lucky enough to try some out. I had a third one which unfortunately didn't make it for the photo! I did keep the empty packet but it was the first one I used so must have got moved about or accidently thrown it away :-/

Since last year i've tried out various face masks and quite a few tend to leave my skin really red and inflamed after its removed. I've never had that problem before so my skin must have become more sensitive the over past 2 years. However the Ooharr face masks have no bad effects to my skin so I love that :-) I even left them on for the full recommend time and my skin afterwards felt fine. These all smelt so amazing and left my skin feeling clean and refreshed. The smell reminded me of when your in a professional salon. I have done Massage at college and learnt all about the different oils so to see these face masks include so many of them is great because it gives so you so many amazing benefits. I really need to stock up on these now as they are my go to beauty essentials :-) These definitely need to be tried out if you haven't used them before? If you have used them, what did you think?
(You can click the titles of the face masks to see more information on their website)

Leaving Full Time Work | Taking a huge risk | Chasing My Dreams

I felt like it was time to take a risk, leave my full time job and work towards something I really love.

I had been thinking about this for a little while and when I had put a status up on my Facebook, so many people were positive for me to go for it! There was actually one person who was slightly negative about it but who listens to the negatives, lol

I was currently in a full time job earning a good amount of money each month to se me through. I was working on a reception in a hotel, it wasn't something I wanted to do forever and I had bigger dreams. I am the sort of the girl to take risks and do what I love more than just settling for what I think is right.

This weekend just gone was my last working shift in the hotel and even though I was a little worried leaving it felt so good to be able to walk out knowing I never have to come back! I actually thought I had to give a months notice as others leaving had to do that but I think it was because I was only there for 6 months so it wasn't very long and it ended up only being one weeks notice. That was good for me as I got out the place sooner but at the same time it made it worse as I was expecting to get a full months pay to get me going but now I will only get half of that which might make things a little harder.

It is a scary thing to leave a full time job and work for yourself, especially when you don't even have a solid plan or an actual business to jump straight into. I actually have a lot of things to pay out for, things to pay back and direct debits that will still be coming out my bank so I am not in a place where I am 'ok' for money. This could have been a silly time to leave my job or maybe not? I feel like if I stayed at least I new i would have money coming in to see me through but then at the same time I didn't want that to hold me back from the possibility of great things. I will take life as it comes and deal with any obstacles as it happens! It was a huge risk for me leaving but I am glad I did it! Lets just hope now I can prove to myself that I left at the right time.

Sometimes you do need that push in life and that fear to make you go after what you really want. If you are settled and comfortable then there is nothing making you do more or trying new things. It's like if you knew you had to book in a dentist appointment but never do it, it's only until your teeth then get in so much pain it pushes you to think, ok..maybe I should book into the dentist now! lol Not sure if the dentist was the best example but you get what I mean! :-) So now I have that fear it will make me more hardworking and plus I will have more time to actually put the effort in and do more with my time. It may be a struggle at first but I am prepared for the challenge and I as long as I make enough money to get me through my days then I will be happy. I would rather work in something I love and make just enough money to pay for bills and food then work in a job I hate, even if that did earn me more.

Working for myself is great because I can choose my hours, do more of what I love and I get to book different work in on different days and times so its a variety which is the best thing for me because I can get bored easy. I have been rubbish with jobs all through my life to be honest so I know this is the type of work i need to keep me interested :-) This also means...Christmas OFF! Woohoo! :-)

So you may be wondering...what is it i'm actually doing for work now?

Well I used to do promotion work (leafleting, sampling, data capture, etc) I am with quite a few promotion agencies and still get texts or emails through about work. That is one good thing I will do and promotion work can be good money too. I also am going to apply again for extras/background agencies, another thing I used to do which was great. Also from today I am actually on a mission to get my abs back and once I feel confident again in my body (after eating a lot after my fitness show and bloating out) I will try to apply to fitness and commercial modelling agencies :-) I also want to build up my blog and youtube as that is my ultimate passion. One good thing is I will now have more time to focus on it and create better content.

So I think that concludes this post, it was just a post to express my thoughts and were i'm at right now in life. I also hope this post inspired you, make sure you are chasing your dreams. I have seen so many people reach there dreams in life so it is possible and it can happen. The only person in control of your life is you, it sounds cheesy but YOLO and all that! Be hardworking, remember your goals and make sure you do something daily to help you reach them. Don't settle for something you don't enjoy, take risks, learn from your mistakes and make the most of life. Be happy :-D If you don't try new things you will never know.

I LOVE BRIGHTON; Busy Summer at the Beach

It has been gorgeous weather here in England and where does everyone go when the sun makes an appearance?? Of course...they go down to Brighton!

It is a very popular town, I have been loads of times myself and still get excited to go down there for the day! I went on Sunday with my Mum and it was very hot and VERY busy. We were squashed in like sardines on the train, people could not even squeeze anymore into the carriage and some people couldn't even get on! Thank goodness there was air con :-)

Whenever I visit Brighton I always have to buy some chips, BUT it has to be from the place right down the seafront next to where the trampolines are. It's called Seasiders fish and chips. There is something about these chips, they just taste amazing! I love loads of vinegar on mine, thats what makes it for me! :-)
Me and my Mum sat on the beach for a bit and then took a walk on the pier. It was so busy with people and everywhere had long queues.

Another thing that I love getting when I'm down Brighton is a Moo Moo milkshake and it always has to be The Teaser. That one has a mix of malteasers and toffee crumble in with a chocolate flake! (me drinking it above) Do you have anything you MUST get every time you visit Brighton?

I vlogged my day too so if you wanna watch that then click here
I was having a strange day where I felt really embarrassed to vlog, I am typically quite shy but battle to fight that all the time, I have gained a lot more confidence since school but sometimes it does come back as I don't think it will fully go away! But yeah..I felt like everyone was looking at me as soon as I wanted to talk to the camera! It's annoying really, confidence can always get in the way of allowing you to do what you really love and you end up missing out on things! Anyway feel like I'm going off topic

After spending time down the beach and the pier, we walked into the town, got a few bits and then headed on home. We managed to get a seat on the way back although was still quite busy, some people were still standing. I found out near the the end of the day that fluff from my dress had got stuck on me making it look like I had hairy armpits...that was greeaatt! lol

It wasn't a packed day full of events or anything special but it was a day in Brighton so I wanted to share it anyway cos I love Brighton. I also love to share lifestyle (day out) kinda posts :-) let me know if you enjoyed this... I will probably want to do more posts like this. Make sure you are following my blog to see more, you can follow me here on Bloglovin if you like, it's an easy way to keep up to date with new blog posts and see my older ones all together!

I hope you are all enjoying your week so far...lets all cross our fingers for a hot summer this year :-)

Heaven in a bowl | Delicious Creamy Porridge

I have really been loving this porridge lately so had to share it. It's not exactly hard to make, you can add lots of different things to porridge and be creative but here is what I used to make mine;

Unsweetened Almond Milk
Organic smooth peanut butter

I found that just these toppings are enough for me and it is literally like heaven in a bowl :-D It is so creamy with the peanut butter stirred in and then the banana melting into the oats...oh my god! The raspberries just give it that tang and the raisins give it that sweetness and I think this is a porridge that you should try. I have been having this in the evenings, also because milk, banana, oats and peanuts actually are foods that help you sleep!

I hope these photo's made your mouth water...Who's off to make some porridge?? :-)

Luxury Hair Oil | Kérastase Paris - Elixir Ultime

It has been a while since I splurged out on a more expensive beauty item.
I had gone to the hairdressers recently though and after my treatment the guy added this oil into my hair and after he dried it off, my hair felt amazingly soft and healthy. As soon as he told me it was £36.50 I was a little put off as I was already quite low on money that month...BUT... as I couldn't get over how amazing my hair felt I decided to just give it a go and treat myself. In the end, it is really important to take care of your hair and as mine in coloured I do need to treat it more.
I was also told this product would last about a year so is worth the money.

I have been using this every single time I have washed my hair and so far I do really like it. I was told this product would last me about a year. I would consider buying it again but seeing as most the time I'm skint, i'll probably have to look for cheaper options. Good thing is, this will now last me a long time until I have to buy more anyway :-)
