New Year Goals for 2017!

Soooo...we are almost to the end of 2016.

I'm looking forward to the new year cos its a time where I like to set new and bigger goals. I love setting goals, making plans and taking on new challenges so I find it really exciting.

Looking back on 2016, I don't feel like i've accomplished that much really and nothings really changed. The biggest thing I did this year was probably taking part in my second fitness show as a bikini competitor. I did also start a Fitness/Personal Training course but I can't say that's an accomplishment yet because two exams I have left have been pushed to the end of Feb now so not quite qualified yet. All though I have passed other exams through the course so I guess that is something to be proud of! I quit my reception job in May right after my fitness show as I didn't like the hotel I was at. After that I did start to struggle for money as I was just trying to do outreach/promotion type of work. It was ok but I never had any spare money to spend on myself really, it wasn't probably the best time to quit my job either cos had quite a lot to pay off so all the money I made went on paying things off and travelling to the next jobs. By October I ended up getting a job in a different hotel which was part time and currently I am still there.

After realising how little i've done in 2016 has made me even more determined to make 2017 a great year! I can't just sit back and wait for things to happen, I gotta MAKE THINGS HAPPEN!

When I set my goals I like to write down what it is I want to achieve and when I want to achieve this by. I then set out some smaller goals which will help me reach it, working towards smaller goals first makes it much more achievable and easier to do.

My goals for 2017...

TO BECOME A FITNESS MODEL/ATHLETE

I would love to get a body that I am happy and confident with by summer and start applying to some fitness/commercial agencies. I have no idea if I would be suitable or even have a chance but I want to give it a shot. To be able to get some great opportunities in the fitness world next year would be amazing so in order for this to happen I need to be making sure I keep up with the gym and change my lifestyle to a healthier way of eating. I am sharing vlogs on my youtube channel too so if you are a youtube fan then i'd love you to check my channel out - click here

TO BE SUCCESSFUL ON YOUTUBE & MY BLOG

Blogging and filming for youtube is my ultimate passion and i'd really love to quit my job next year to do this full time so I need to be more consistent and hardworking. I will be working so hard on it all next year, trying to communicate with more people and getting good content out there as often as I can. I have no idea how it all happens but I am so eager to make it happen, just gotta keep going and see what happens...there is literally no other job in the world that I want more! I've hated every job i've had and now seeing people actually do youtube or blogging as a job, it's just opened a whole new world and I need to be a part of this world. It seems like a long hard process and I don't even know if it's possible to be where I wanna be next year but I am willing to wait for as long as it takes. For me to be successful would be at the point of earning just enough money to get me by so I can quit the day time job that I don't like! :-) It does seem like a dream that i'l be forever dreaming but at the same time I gotta think positive and hopefully good things will happen?!

I wouldn't say I have any more goals as big as them two. There are lots more that I would like to improve on and change about myself or my life tho....qualify from my fitness course, look into doing some online personal training, hopefully move house, get teeth done ('I'm terrified), pay of debt, make my Instagram look prettier and stick with a theme, buy birthday and christmas presents in advance, work on growing hair longer, don't give up so easily and be open to trying new things.

What are your new years goals? Let me know in the comments.
πŸŽ†I hope you all have a great one wether your staying in or going out :-)
I'm working an early on new years day so i'll just be watching the fireworks on TV and then going straight up to bed.

Festive Fun at Christmas with Lots of Food | 2016

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas? :-)

I started my December on a strict diet as I was originally planning to compete for a bikini/fitness show. I did change my mind on this though, click here to see my post all about that.
Anyway i'm so glad I didn't go ahead, I feel like I made the right decision. After that I slowly started pigging out on food again more and more, and on Christmas Day I definitely made the most of it.
Did anyone else eat SO much food, feel stuffed but 10 mins later go get more, or is anyone still going? lol I felt like I was an eating machine...and I am still eating left overs and lots of chocolate! Even tho I have fitness goals for next year I am not going to feel guilty for enjoying LOTS of food right now! Tomorrow or the next day I will look to get back on track...and by the new year I will defiantly be back to eating proper food again! Anyway I feel like i've just talked a lot about food!

Moving on....I spent Christmas Day with my Mum and Grandparents and it was really nice. My Auntie and Cousin also popped in but didn't stay long, was good seeing them tho. I don't live very near to my family so it's nice when I see them altho I do still live with my Mum. My mum cooked a nice Roast Turkey dinner and then put on a small buffet for the evening...my Grandparents didn't eat that much of the buffet tho so it was lucky I was there really...don't want food going to waste now! lol

My dog got this light up ball which he was literally OBSESSED with! Alllll daaayyyyy he was on the go with it, only when we sat at the table to eat he stopped and then in the morning, straight away he wanted to play!

See this cute little video of Taz opening a Christmas present :-)

video

I did film a What I got for Christmas video on my youtube too so if you like that sort of thing then i'd love you to check it out...i'll leave the video below but if you do like it go and subscribe to my channel to see more from me. I will be starting a Get Fit For Summer type series on my channel for the new year and I'm so excited to share it.

Well anyway now we can all look forward to 2017! I have a blog post coming very soon talking about my new years goals and 2016 highlights.

Chocolate Chip Cookies - Baking at Christmas

Hello everyone, I made these delicious cookies recently and definitely had to share them with you :-) They are the perfect texture for a cookie...a light crunch around the edge with a gooey softness in the middle....OMG! I'm dribbling just looking back at these photos! πŸ˜πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ
As it's Christmas too I thought i'd decorate them all festive for the photos...so now they are, Christmas Cookies :-D
These are very unhealthy...well they definitely are if you eat them all within 3 days! lol oops! Look how many I made out of the mixture too...

...And that was after I ate about 3 or 4 already! I wasn't expecting to make so many so it was a bit much but this is perfect for Christmas if your seeing family, you will have enough for everyone, plus extra for yourself...cos trust me, you WILL want extra! :-)

So the Ingredients I used are...

I actually followed a recipe I found on google (bettycrocker.com) and the amounts were measured in American sizes. So as my Mum has the American cups I followed the same measurements, but if you don't want to make so many then half the ingredients I list below...
I made 20 cookies and put it into fitness pal so it worked out to be 182 calories per cookie, 4.1g of fat, 33.3g of carbs and 2.7g of protein.
I will list below the exact ingredients on the website I got it from but I did weigh and take note of the grams as well so I could make it easier for you.

3/4 cup granulated sugar / 150g
3/4 cup packed brown sugar /190g
1 cup butter or margarine / 140g
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups Gold Medal all purpose flour / Self Raising 330g
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped nuts (i didn't add these)
1 packet of chocolate chips (i chose milk chocolate)

These do expand quite large and I could only fit about 4 onto the tray each time. I would place them about 2 inches apart from each other on the baking tray before you put them in.

Oven Temp: 375 F / Gas Mark 5

Method: Mix sugars, butter, vanilla and egg in large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt (dough will be stiff) Then stir in nuts/chocolate.

Make into dough balls and shape into place on an un greased baking sheet on tray. You can test out how big you make the dough balls in the first batch, depending how big they expand. My first cookie turned out huge!

Time: 8-10 mins or until light golden brown.

I have been so excited to share these cookies and just looking at the photos of them is making me hungry, I might have to bake some more :-)
Please let me know if you try these and how many you eat yourself? Cos they are so good you won't want to share them! hehe.

This will be my last blog post now until after Christmas, my next post may be up Boxing day evening or the day after so I hope you all have an AMAZING CHRISTMAS and I will see you in my next post very soon :-) xxx
